Efficiency Standards for Rental

Phase 3: Administer
This phase provides information and resources for administering a rental efficiency standards program after a policy has been passed. Depending on the amount of implementation details included in the policy at the time of a city’s approval, an implementation plan may be included in the policy or may need to be worked out after the launch. In this phase you will:
- Put in place a compliance and disclosure framework that allows rental units’ energy scores to be shared on rental websites.
- Ensure that the monitoring and evaluation process tracks the ongoing progress of the policy. It can be useful to also communicate lessons learned with other cities and share best practices.
