Yujing Liu is a principal in RMI’s China program. She currently focuses on national, regional, and provincial power sector decarbonization pathways from various perspectives, such as power market design, coal transition, and increasing the penetration of renewable energy.

Background

Prior to joining RMI, Yujing was a Senior Analyst with BloombergNEF, where she conducted long-term modelling of China’s power market, tracked China’s ongoing power sector reforms, and analyzed costs and market development of major generation technologies. She worked closely with Chinese energy and power conglomerates, and companies throughout the power sector equipment supply chain. She also interned with KPMG’s Global Energy Institute, where she contributed to a series of projects supporting energy sector investment framing and policymaking in the Asia-Pacific region.
