Shuo is a manager in RMI China team, with his work focusing on power system decarbonization, power market reform, and carbon peaking/neutrality policy analysis.
Background
Prior to joining RMI, Shuo was a senior analyst/project manager of China Energy Modeling Forum at the Environmental Defense Fund, where he developed a model for the power sector and analyzed the feasibility of a zero-emissions transition. He also conducted research or led projects on low-emission development strategy, energy system modeling methodology, freight and bus electrification, etc. Earlier in his career, Shuo worked at Duke University, analyzing fossil fuel power plants in North Carolina and the MISO region. He also provided consulting service for Southern Company on third-party PPAs.
