Rachel Wilmoth is a senior associate on RMI’s Climate-Aligned Industries Program, where she helps accelerate the deployment of new decarbonization technologies in the hard-to-abate sectors. Her work focuses on advancing green hydrogen development within the steel sector.
Background
Before coming to RMI, Rachel obtained her PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering, designing experiments to advance bioengineering techniques. Before her graduate studies, Rachel worked as a consultant identifying energy efficiency strategies for data centers using computational fluid dynamics modeling. During her undergraduate studies, she worked on several social justice and energy-focused projects, including designing and fabricating 3D-printed solar lanterns in collaboration with a Ugandan solar company.
