SAFc Registry

We are building a digital sustainable aviation fuel certificate (SAFc) registry with EnergyWeb to bring more transparency and consistency to the emerging SAF certificate market. The SAFc registry rulebook is currently open for public consultation. A quick guide that introduces SAFc and the registry is available here, and the full draft rulebook is available here.

The rulebook specifies how SAFc can be issued, transferred, and retired in an independently governed registry. It was developed by RMI and the Environmental Defense Fund, in consultation with the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance (SABA) members, a consultative group of fuel providers, and other stakeholders.
