Jon Creyts, CEO of RMI, Listed on Forbes Sustainability Leaders List 2025
New York – September 18, 2025
Jon Creyts, CEO of RMI, has been included in the Forbes Sustainability Leaders List 2025. RMI is a pragmatic, market-based solutions leader working on the global energy transition. Since becoming CEO of RMI in 2022, Creyts has led a portfolio of 300 projects across more than 50 countries focused on driving investment in scaling clean energy and energy efficiency and reducing energy waste.
In response to being named to the Forbes List, Creyts released the following statement:
“I’m honored to be included on Forbes’ 2025 list of Sustainability Leaders. This recognition reflects RMI’s bold, data-driven efforts to drive systems change and accelerate the global energy transition.
I joined RMI 13 years ago when it was just a tenth of the size it is today. Since then, it has been my privilege to build out our capacity across each of these dimensions so that RMI can bring a full suite of change capabilities to markets spanning buildings, transportation, electricity, and industry.
At RMI, we partner with leaders across industries and the political spectrum who are serious about advancing the energy transition. By staying grounded in facts and focused on opportunity, we can accelerate change and build momentum in places others can’t.
Thank you to Forbes for this recognition — one that includes me but also reflects the dedication and impact of our 600+ colleagues at RMI who do this work every day.”
The Forbes Sustainability Leaders List is meant to “spotlight people turning ambition into scalable action, building solutions in an economic and political climate of uncertainty.” Leaders are selected based on who is driving impact right now, with a focus on leadership in innovation, growth, impact, and equity.
