Yuan Yao was an associate at RMI, focused on coal transition, renewable energy integration and system impact, and power market analysis.
Background
Prior to RMI, Yuan worked as a senior analyst for a DC-based energy consulting firm CustomerFirst Renewables. She engaged with multiple corporate and industrial companies to help them procure large-scale renewable energy in the United States. Yuan also worked at KAPSARC in Saudi Arabia on spatial modeling projects with satellite imagery for China’s transportation sector. She has also worked for Global Forest Watch at the World Resources Institute where she conducted research and GIS analysis on deforestation drivers in the DRC.
