Xiyuan is a senior associate with RMI’s Climate Intelligence Program, where she supports emissions reductions by advancing climate-differentiated markets for low-emission commodities within the Commodity Market Transformation Initiative (CMTI). She focuses on enabling conditions across demand, policy, finance, and carbon accounting, and on how corporate procurement, market mechanisms, and policy alignment can accelerate first-of-a-kind projects and catalyze systemic change.

Background

Before joining RMI, Xiyuan worked as a trading assistant at Société Générale for 4 years, managing day-to-day trading activities and contributing to a workstream that designed mechanisms to embed ESG attributes into FX trading.
