Will is an associate on the Virtual Power Plant Partnership (VP3) team within RMI’s Carbon-Free Electricity Program. His work focuses on industry analysis and strategic partnership development to unlock the full potential of distributed energy resources and accelerate the growth of virtual power plants nationwide.
Background
Prior to joining RMI, Will worked at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (formerly NREL) through its Research Participant Program. He primarily supported the Community Power Accelerator, advancing distributed solar and storage projects across the country. He also contributed to the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, collaborating with national lab researchers, startups, and corporate partners to help accelerate the commercialization of emerging energy technologies.
Earlier in his career, Will worked as an environmental planner at POWER Engineers in Salt Lake City, where he supported the siting of renewable energy generation projects and the routing of major transmission and distribution infrastructure across the United States.
Outside of work, Will is an avid skier who also enjoys trail running and live music.
