Wei Li is the principal of buildings, infrastructure, and supply chains at RMI China. His work is focusing on the net-zero transition of global supply chains as well as the building sector in China. Since joining RMI, he has led research on the net-zero roadmap for China’s cement industry, development of standards for corporate carbon management, decarbonization of the green steel and green building materials supply chain, development of carbon accounting guidelines for steel and aluminum, China-Southeast Asia energy transition collaborations, and research on new opportunities for the China building sector under carbon-neutrality goals.
Background
Wei has 10 years of experience in sustainable development and decarbonization, with project experience in cities and transportation, heavy industry, and building decarbonization. Previously, he worked for seven years at the World Resources Institute in the Sustainable Transportation and Cities Program, working on low-carbon cities and transport projects in China and Southeast Asia.
