Vera leads communications for the aviation, cement and concrete, and waste methane initiatives for the Climate-Aligned Industries team and heads the program’s social media efforts. Leveraging her background in copywriting, graphic design, and digital marketing, she amplifies RMI’s complex research and analysis and makes the work accessible and compelling to a wide audience.
Vera brings more than a decade of nonprofit communications experience to her role. Before joining RMI, she served as the brand manager for the Central Texas Food Bank, the largest hunger relief organization in Central Texas, where she oversaw the organizational rebrand, created communications campaigns, and managed its digital marketing team. She previously led communications for an animal welfare nonprofit and has worked on many design and marketing projects for membership organizations, volunteer-run nonprofits, and charity events in her spare time.
Vera is also an avid hiker, water lover, and globetrotter, passionate about preserving the wild spaces she enjoys.
