Thomas is a former manager in RMI’s Climate-Aligned Industries Program, where he oversees efforts to scale green hydrogen to decarbonize the hard-to-abate sectors. This includes working with US-based hydrogen hubs and the global Green Hydrogen Catapult. Previously, Thomas was a part of Oil & Gas Solutions, reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the oil and gas sector through data collaborations, including Climate TRACE, Climate Action Engine, Carbon Mapper, and Sunshine for Mines, working on reducing carbon in the mining industry.
Background
Before joining RMI, Thomas worked for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), coordinating and executing research and development projects in the areas of distributed energy resources and distribution engineering. The projects were a mix of field trials and business case analysis reports. Prior to this role, Thomas held a series of positions in outdoor recreation and as a GIS consultant.
