As the development director, Susan is a liaison between philanthropic foundations and RMI. Working alongside RMI’s programmatic staff, she engages foundations in strategic partnerships to invest in RMI’s crucial work toward halting the climate crisis by accelerating the clean energy transition.

Background

Prior to joining RMI, Susan served as the senior advancement director for the Sierra Club for eight years, leading principal and major gift efforts. She facilitated mutually beneficial funding collaborations to end the reliance on fossil fuels while preserving and protecting the wild and wildlife and ensuring everyone had access to nature. Susan brings with her decades of experience in philanthropy, climate change, conservation, human services, public relations, and marketing.
