Selena is an associate with RMI’s Carbon-Free Electricity Program. She currently supports RMI’s work in accelerating the coal-to-clean just energy transition and advancing decarbonization of the energy sector in the Global South.

Background

Selena was born and raised in Metro Manila, Philippines, and previously worked at the Philippine Department of Energy on national power planning and development. Prior to joining RMI, she completed her master’s in Engineering from Duke University, focusing on Environmental Engineering and Public Policy. In the summer of 2022, she interned at RMI, where she conducted financial modeling and techno-economic analysis on coal transition mechanisms in Vietnam.
