Tavo is RMI’s Chief Technology & Operations Officer and chairs the Organizational Effectiveness Council. His work in strategic operations helps RMI deliver impact to mission by deploying scalable and secure IT infrastructure, platforms, and support, and providing program services such as PMO, knowledge management, and continuous process improvement.
Background
Tavo served in senior leadership positions in higher education, government, and defense contracting in the past two decades. Most recently, Tavo was the assistant dean for Finance and Administration at the University of Arizona Libraries, where he led and supported major construction and renovation projects, the Libraries’ pandemic response, and campus-wide business governance. He is also the founding co-chair of the campus Latino Faculty Staff Council.
Tavo is a lifelong learner committed to growing his practice as a leader. He received training from the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, Mindful NYU, and LinkedIn’s Inner MBA, and is a trained leadership and performance coach from iPEC.
