Monika is a data visualisation specialist in RMI’s Climate Intelligence Program. She specializes in creating custom, data-driven visualizations and data-visualization tools which can be used by other colleagues to display their data in an engaging format.
Background
Monika has started her career in the financial industry, working in the risk management department of one of the biggest Dutch banks, ABN AMRO as a quantitative risk analyst. She then moved to become a quantitative consultant where she was building software tools for financial institutions and conducting research in a broad range of topics including supporting court cases, market sentiment analysis, and ESG. After obtaining a sustainability and climate risk certificate from the GARP institute, she started working for 2° Investing Initiative as a data visualization specialist. She has worked on many climate finance-related projects, including the PACTA interactive report which was used in coordinated country-wide initiatives performed with the governments of Switzerland, Norway, and Luxembourg, among others.
