Michael Rabbani

Michael is a senior associate with RMI’s Climate Intelligence program. He works on multiple RMI efforts to reduce methane emissions from the global oil and gas industry through the development of market-based mechanisms to encourage low-emissions natural gas.

Background

Prior to joining RMI, Michael spent four years at ExxonMobil in various engineering roles. He was a process engineer and environmental compliance advisor for a major US petrochemical complex. Before that, he contributed to early stage project development for global CCUS projects and improved emissions estimating practices.

At the University of Arizona, Michael led multiple sustainability outreach initiatives aimed at improving the university’s sustainability practices and augmenting sustainability education opportunities for the student body.
