Kayla is a RAY Diversity Clean Energy Fellow with the Carbon-Free Buildings Program’s Portfolio Energy Optimization (PEO) initiative, where she aids in technical support of the PEO tool and its portfolios. The RAY Diversity Fellowship aims to cultivate leaders of color in clean energy and conservation.

Background

At Wilkes University, Kayla led a group of students to design a Minnesota filter as part of their senior research project. She also participated in a partnership with Middletown Township in Pennsylvania to help them write the climate action plan to reduce the township’s greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, Kayla held a past internship in environmental construction, where she worked with the site foreman to monitor sediment and erosion controls.
