Kathleen is a former Senior Associate on the REALIZE team at RMI. She focused on carbon-free building retrofits in the Midwest, specifically in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Background
Kathleen’s experience before RMI included research in low-carbon concrete, engineering for industrial process cooling applications, and energy management for higher education. During her time as the energy manager for Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), the facilities team realized their goal of reducing energy use 20 percent by 2020 by implementing retro-commissioning and energy efficiency-focused capital projects. Kathleen led many efforts at MATC, including the indoor air quality HVAC response to COVID-19 throughout MATC facilities, greenhouse gas reporting, the MATC EV charging network, and technical review of over $5 million in energy-related capital projects annually. Kathleen is also involved in energy transition planning for the City of Milwaukee as a member of the Commercial Green Buildings working group.
