Jyoti is an associate with the Climate-Aligned Industries team. She supports the Waste Methane Initiative in advancing strategies to reduce methane emissions in the waste sector through policy analysis, techno-economic analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Background

Prior to joining CAI full-time, Jyoti interned with RMI’s India Program, where she focused on advancing transportation decarbonization through policy and market research. She also interned with the World Resources Institute, focusing on investment risk and financing, and at the King County Department of Natural Resources’ Wastewater Treatment Division.

Jyoti completed a Masters capstone project with Dr. Rosina Bierbaum at the University of Michigan that focused on developing policy solutions inspired by the nature (biomimicry) and conducted research on the carbon sequestration potential of biosolid fertilizer with Dr. Sally Brown at the University of Washington.
