Jingyi is a senior associate in the Cities team within RMI’s US Program, specializing in building decarbonization and federal funding guidance. She played a crucial role in the development of the Local Energy Action Framework (LEAF), enabling local governments to comprehensively assess their current and future electricity requirements. She is a key contributor to the Green Upgrade Calculator, a modeling software for energy professionals to swiftly analyze the lifetime cost and environmental benefits of common residential decarbonization solutions. She also co-developed America’s Federal Funding Opportunities and Resources for Decarbonization (AFFORD, previously known as FFOLD) tool, empowering public and nonprofit entities to navigate the available funding resources aligned with their decarbonization priorities.
Background
Before joining RMI, Jingyi worked as an intern at the Global Resilient Cities Network while pursuing her master’s degree from the University of Chicago. In that role, she supported the design and development of a community of practice on urban heat and conducted city strategy gap assessments on climate adaptation and mitigation.
