Jack is an associate with RMI’s Carbon-Free Buildings group, providing analytic support to the team with a focus on the efforts of the IDEA Hub.

Background

While pursuing dual master’s degrees at the University of Michigan, Jack pursued opportunities related to carbon-free buildings and electricity as well as urban transformation. He worked with the City of Ann Arbor to model a microgrid network with a focus on benefiting low-income populations of the city. Jack completed a capstone project to design a microgrid network for a farmer training center in South Africa. He worked for Stewards of Affordable Housing with the Future on the Energy and Sustainability team as a building decarbonization expert, developing a carbon accounting methodology tool and studying the implementation of equitable decarbonization in multifamily housing.
