Evan Brooks

Evan is an associate with RMI’s US Program and focuses on federal policy. His work involves identifying federal policy solutions for industrial decarbonization.

Background

Prior to joining RMI, Evan was a legislative assistant for the US House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology as well as for Representative Kathy Castor.

His portfolio included environmental, energy, and agricultural policy. While in Congress, Evan contributed to key pieces of legislation such as the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS & Science Act.

In addition to his role at RMI, Evan is a course assistant at Columbia University, where he teaches an Energy Efficiency Analysis course.
