Ed Whitaker is a former Development Marketing Director at RMI, where he managed strategic and tactical marketing and communications for RMI’s global philanthropic donor portfolio.
Background
Ed brings 20-plus years of experience leading marketing efforts for some of the nation’s top nonprofit and media brands. Most recently, he led the marketing and communications efforts for the Nature Conservancy in southern New England, including the implementation of a successful $40 million capital campaign. Prior to that, he held multiple marketing leadership roles over the course of a decade at the National Audubon Society. During that period Ed also founded his own video production company, producing video content for nonprofit clients. Before 9/11, he led marketing efforts at national magazines including Newsweek, Vanity Fair, Yahoo! Internet Life, and Men’s Health in New York City. He began his career on Madison Avenue at the Mad Men–esque advertising agency Young & Rubicam.
