Daniel is the program assistant for the Energy Transition Academy and Africa Energy Program. He supports both programs in daily planning, logistics, and outreach.
Background
Daniel received a Master of Environmental Science and Management degree from UCSB in 2019, with a focus on Strategic Communication and Environmental Policy. Upon graduation, Daniel served as the office and events manager at the Environmental Defense Center, a nonprofit environmental law firm in Santa Barbara, CA, and played a key role in fundraising for the organization.
Before attending graduate school, Daniel worked as an outreach coordinator at the Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco, where he provided climate and ocean science curriculum to K-12 classrooms around the Bay Area, developed lesson plans, and led workshops and training for teachers.
Daniel plays the mandolin in his bluegrass band, Salty Strings, in his free time.
