Colm is a senior editor at RMI, supporting the writing, production, and editing of content spanning RMI’s global portfolio.
Background
Colm comes to RMI with significant experience as a geopolitics journalist and strategic communicator. Before RMI, he was the lead author of Morning Brief, Foreign Policy magazine’s most-read newsletter, where he reported daily on breaking news from around the world.
Before that, he led digital communications at the Center for Strategic and International Studies as its director of new media and audience development. His work helped the organization win recognition as the #1-ranked think tank in the world for social media use by the University of Pennsylvania’s Global Go To Think Tank Index for three years running. Colm also helmed the center’s media relations, hosting press briefings and guiding overall content strategy. He was the host and producer of the organization’s flagship CSIS Podcast, a top 5 regular in Apple’s non-profit charts over the course of its 150+ episode run.
Originally from Dublin, Colm is now based in Washington D.C.
