Claire is a senior associate with RMI’s Carbon-Free Electricity Program, where she is a member of the Clean Competitive Grids team. She works on researching strategies and policies for decarbonizing electricity markets, decongesting interconnection queues, and accelerating transmission infrastructure deployment, with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic (PJM).

Background

Claire has worked at multiple organizations in energy and sustainability, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Prior to joining RMI, she earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Princeton University with a focus on sustainable energy, where she completed a capstone senior thesis project on energy systems optimization modeling under the guidance of Professor Jesse Jenkins. Claire is an avid birder and rock climber in her spare time. She is also a Udall and Truman scholar and is passionate about public service.
