Canyang Xie is an associate on the RMI China Program. He mainly focuses on rural and agricultural greenhouse gas mitigation technologies, policies, and market-driven solutions in China.
Background
Prior to joining RMI, Canyang participated in research on topics including global climate governance, climate finance, and low-carbon transition in the industrial sector during his internships at the Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development of Tsinghua University, the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Administrative Center for China’s Agenda 21, and EDF Climate Corps. Canyang has also participated in the United Nations Climate Change Conference and the United Nations Economic and Social Council Youth Forum as an observer.
