Bryn is a Senior Associate on the Carbon-Free Transportation team. She is particularly interested in active modes of transportation, and works closely with cities, utilities, states and the private sector to accelerate decarbonization in transportation through shifting vehicle trips to modes such as e-bikes. Her experience includes providing technical assistance to local governments to achieve climate goals, working with large datasets to glean insights into travel behavior and energy use, and creating models and templates for easy technical information communication. Prior to the Carbon-Free Transportation team, Bryn was on the Urban Transformation team, where she worked with Texas cities on establishing resilience hubs, and with cities across the country on implementing Electrify programs.
While pursuing a masters degree in mechanical engineering, Bryn interned on the Markets and Policy team at NREL, where she conducted research into city-utility partnerships, electric franchise agreements, geothermal power, and sustainability master plans while also working on her master’s thesis on air quality and lighting from fuel-based lanterns. After graduating, Bryn worked at Guidehouse as a senior consultant on a variety of energy efficiency projects with focused work in Illinois and Arizona.
