Bryan leads RMI’s efforts to decarbonize the industrial sectors, which collectively represent 30 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. Key focus industries include, but are not limited to: steel, aluminum, cement, chemicals, shipping, trucking, and aviation. In this role Bryan also directs RMIs collaboration as part of the Mission Possible Partnership.
Background
Bryan is a seasoned energy executive with over 25 years of experience consulting with, investing in, and leading a wide range of companies. He brings a unique understanding of the carbon mitigation opportunities and challenges having worked globally across the energy and industrial sectors and in both the fossil fuel and energy transition space.
Most recently, Bryan was CEO of Fortify Energy and, prior to that, Jumar Energy Capital. Prior to Jumar, Bryan led investments in the power and renewables sector as a Managing Director at Bluescape Energy Partners, a private equity firm with $2 billion in assets under management. Prior to Bluescape, Bryan was executive vice president of business development and analytics at EquiPower Resources. EquiPower was a leading 8,000 MW independent power producer owned by Energy Capital Partners, which was sold to Dynegy in 2015. Bryan was formerly a principal at McKinsey & Company, where he held several leadership positions within the Global Energy and Materials Practice and Corporate Finance and Risk Management Practices over his 16-year tenure. Bryan led multinational companies to improve their performance and reduce their carbon footprint.
