Brian Yang is a former associate with the Third Derivative, a new initiative within RMI that builds a global collaboration of startups, investors, and corporations to accelerate early-stage energy and climate innovations.

Background

Brian joined RMI right after graduating from NYU. He has a research background in energy economics. Before joining RMI, he worked with multiple international organizations, NGOs, and venture funds, including the United Nations, World Resource Institute, Plug and Play, and EU-China Energy Cooperation Platform, with a focus on renewable energy and the sustainable development goals. Brian also started and managed projects on distributed solar panels that benefit hundreds of people in need.
