Beverly Bendix

Manager
  • Carbon-Free Electricity

Beverly is a Manager in the Carbon-Free Electricity Program at RMI, working on the Clean Competitive Grids team. She is interested in finding solutions to structural barriers to low-cost and equitable decarbonization—particularly solutions for catalyzing infrastructure development and the role of markets in incentivizing the transition to carbon-free energy. Beverly joined RMI in 2021.

Background

Prior to joining RMI, Beverly worked with the Danish wind energy company Vestas as a market analyst for the Innovation and Concepts team. She assessed the opportunities and impacts of the rapidly changed global energy system to Vestas’s product portfolio. Her research areas included grid integration, value of energy and generator merchant price exposure, power-to-x, long duration storage, and digitalization.

Prior to Vestas, she spent seven years at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to define and evaluate New York State’s energy innovation agenda. She worked on the Regulatory Affairs team to secure funding approval and within Performance Management to monitor funding efficacy.
