Ayodeji is a senior associate with the Africa Energy Program. In this role, he collaborates with partners in the energy and agricultural sectors to enhance the productive use of renewable energy in rural African communities. His work includes leading pilot teams to test, refine, and scale locally relevant business models that focus on using electric two-wheelers for farm logistics and electrifying agro-processing. He also supports the documentation of key learnings from these initiatives to enable broader adoption across diverse locations. In addition, Ayodeji develops knowledge tools tailored for critical African stakeholders to strengthen their capacity to integrate the productive use of energy into minigrids.
Background
Prior to joining RMI, Ayodeji worked in management consulting with a focus on strategy development and program monitoring, evaluation, and learning. He is experienced in research and stakeholder management. Ayodeji has published several studies on welfare, human capital development, circular economy and climate change in rural Nigeria.
