Continued growth in gas infrastructure spending—especially the local distribution systems that bring gas to homes and businesses—are counterproductive to a safe and sustainable climate future.
Ashita Gona is an Associate in the Carbon-Free Buildings program at RMI, where she works with stakeholders in the mid-Atlantic to electrify the region’s buildings.
Prior to joining RMI, Ashita worked as a communications associate at Climate Nexus, where she found opportunities to promote building and appliance electrification measures in the media. She also managed creative visual projects and partner relationships to raise awareness about the benefits of induction appliances. Ashita previously worked as an environmental journalism fellow, as an intern at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and as a freelance writer.
