Alexis is a senior associate in the Carbon Markets Initiative. She develops analyses for credit buyers and supports CMI’s work to improve data quality and transparency on the voluntary carbon market.

Background

Before joining RMI, Alexis developed tools, guidance, and regulatory analyses for carbon project developers and credit buyers as an independent consultant and at Fair Carbon. She has contributed to research spanning numerous nature-based solutions, including mangrove ecosystems, terrestrial forests, and rangelands. Previously, Alexis was a Fellow at the African Wildlife Foundation, where she assessed the African biodiversity economy and the links between conservation and public health. She has also led work on grassland monitoring, carbon farming, wetland and riparian restoration, and community-led conservation initiatives.
