Alberto is a manager in the Africa Energy Program. He leads the acceleration of mini-grids and distributed energy resources in Africa to enable access to reliable, affordable, and clean electricity.
Background
Before joining RMI, Alberto served as the team leader for the Africa Unit at TTA, a Spanish engineering consultancy firm, where he sourced and directed off-grid projects for clients such as the WB, GIZ, and the UN and worked closely with energy government bodies and the private sector. Alberto worked and lived in East Africa for more than six years, contributing to the development and execution of solar PV mini-grids in Kenya and Tanzania.
