Alaa is an associate in the Policy and Regulatory Solutions team within the Carbon-Free Building program, where he works on developing, identifying, and promoting decarbonization policy solutions across the United States. He collaborates with the Energy Efficiency/Demand Management team within the same program to address more technical challenges in building decarbonization efforts.

Background

Alaa comes to RMI from the energy industry, where he consulted on projects that spanned the domains of energy efficiency, building decarbonization, and transportation electrification. Prior to joining RMI, he gained expertise in training and deploying machine learning algorithms during his time at the Recurse Center.
