CFAN Caribbean Training – Live Session 4.1 Private Sector Finance

Utilising public sources of funding to leverage the unlocking and participation of private finance is one of the critical ways that Caribbean SIDS must pursue to achieve climate finance goals. This session will present perspectives from key development and financing players within the Caribbean region. Participants will have a better understanding of the climate finance landscape in the Caribbean as it relates to who some of the private sector players are, their priorities and receive insight to the general criteria which makes a project ‘attractive’ for investment. It will also touch on trends which are emerging amongst private sector actors within the region.
