Webinar – Fast-Tracking DER Projects: A Toolkit for Utilities, Developers, and Financiers
RegisterAbout This Event
Utility-enabled distributed energy resources (DERs) provide a unique opportunity to address the persistent challenges of power availability and reliability in Nigeria. RMI developed the DER Toolkit to ensure effective, sustainable, and timely implementation of utility-enabled DER projects. By adopting standardized and harmonized documentation between DisCos and developers, the toolkit is intended to simplify and accelerate project implementation, increase data transparency, and minimize misalignment during project implementation.
The webinar disseminates the DER Toolkit thereby increasing awareness of resources available to stakeholders. The toolkit contents and relevant case studies are presented by the RMI team working on DERs in Nigeria, followed by a panel discussion with industry experts on use of the toolkit in DER implementation. The DER Toolkit complements RMI’s DER Roadmap published in June 2024, to offer a suite of resources for DisCos, developers, and stakeholders to chart a course toward a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive future for the Nigerian power sector.
