Turning Corporate Transition Intelligence into Action: a London Climate Action Week Event
About This Event
To address the transformative opportunities and risks posed by climate change, financial institutions, regulators, and civil society are increasingly turning to corporate transition assessments—an exercise to assess the impacts that the energy transition could have on a financial institution’s clients or investees—as a tool to enable better decision-making.
To date, corporate transition assessments have been shaped largely by evolving voluntary and regulatory standards for corporate transition plans. But are plans and assessments leading to decision-useful, business-relevant transition intelligence for financial institutions? What is needed to turn plans and assessments into action?
This closed-door panel discussion will bring together financial institutions for a robust panel discussion and audience Q&A. A diverse panel of four senior leaders across finance will explore the current landscape of transition assessment practices, their limitations, and emerging best practices for understanding corporate transition-related investment plans, business strategies, and dependencies to effectively inform decision-making.
This is an invite-only event. To express interest in attending, please email Elizabeth Harnett (eharnett@rmi.org).
