RMI at Mumbai Climate Week: How Circular Supply Chains Can Power India’s Energy Transition

February 18, 2026 12:15-1:40 p.m. IST
In-person In-person

India’s energy transition will require a coordinated national approach to circular supply chains to reduce lifecycle emissions, strengthen material security, and sustain industrial competitiveness. This panel discussion at Mumbai Climate Week at the Jio World Convention Centre will explore how embedding circularity across batteries, renewables, power equipment, and material value chains can lower carbon intensity, support domestic manufacturing, and unlock private investment.

The panel will discuss:

  • Why circular supply chains are critical to India’s energy transition at this moment
  • Practical enablers such as reuse, recycling, diagnostics, traceability, and workforce capacity
  • Policy, finance, and procurement tools that can de-risk early investments and scale circular markets
  • How circularity can deliver inclusive growth, safe employment, and domestic value retention

This event is being hosted in partnership with the India Foundation.
