As a subject matter expert on systems-level industrial decarbonization, Megan is a senior associate in RMI’s Climate Aligned Industries Program. Megan supports the Clean Industrial Hubs project through robust analysis, enabling decarbonization pathways for heavy industry and heavy transport around the world. Previously, Megan worked on the Global South Program to support the coal transition in Indonesia, and with the US Program to analyze Washington State’s clean energy and transportation policy.

Background

Prior to joining RMI, Megan worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) within the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. In this role, Megan worked to enable clean technology incubation, acceleration, and commercialization in the United States.

In her graduate studies, Megan researched the ecological impacts of climate change, New York City sustainability policies, and the role of decentralized energy systems in decreasing poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. Megan also served as a Teaching Assistant for the course “Theory and Practice of Life Cycle Assessment.
