

Julia is a manager with the City Renewables Accelerator, a collaborative initiative with the World Resources Institute, the Urban Sustainability Directors Network, and Bloomberg Philanthropies through the American Cities Climate Challenge. The team is focused on helping cities across the United States procure renewable energy and meet their climate and energy goals.
Julia also manages Urban Transformation’s nature-based solutions work exploring how green infrastructure can help cities reduce their energy use and carbon footprint.
Before Urban Transformation, Julia worked on RMI’s Global Climate Finance Program.
Background
Prior to RMI, Julia worked on international climate change at the US Department of State, formulating policy and negotiating on behalf of the United States at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, including for the Paris Agreement. Julia’s previous experience includes air quality research at the US Department of Agriculture.
