Last month consumers across India received a jolt when they were delivered their electricity bills. The combined effects of stay-at-home measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, the sweltering heat of the Indian summer, and increased usage of energy intensive appliances such as air conditioners resulted in electricity bills being up to ten times higher than normal.
Vindhya leads RMI’s communications and media outreach activites in India program and also supports the Institute’s business development initiatives.
With over a decade of experience working as a journalist, publicist and advertising producer in India, Vindhya has constructed and implemented integrative media campaigns for a host of private sector clients. She is passionate about sustainable farming techniques and has previously worked on developing direct-to-market pipelines for farmer cooperative groups in India.
