As an associate on RMI’s Carbon-Free Transportation team, Rollins researches electric vehicle growth and charging network expansion to promote a more sustainable and equitable transportation future.
Background
Before joining RMI, Rollins worked as a research assistant for the Institute of Data & Analytics at the University of Alabama while in his MBA program. He contributed a flexible predictive model of electric vehicle growth in Alabama, based on vehicle registration data; changes in the price, driving range, and charging networks of electric vehicles; increases in gas prices; and future bans on the sale of new gas vehicles. He also helped create a visualization dashboard to clearly communicate predictions and provided more accurate data inputs for the model.
