Marissa is the strategic communications director for the Strategy Team. In this role, she guides thought leadership opportunities for the organization and CEO, helping to advance the narrative that the global transition to renewable energy is not only possible but the best option for the future. She works with the Strategy Team to accelerate impact with partners and stakeholders and connects programs across the organization to ensure RMI is telling a cohesive story about its work.

Background

Previously, Marissa led marketing at the Pacific Council on International Policy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to global engagement in Los Angeles. She has worked on communications projects across a range of complex social and development issues, from media freedom in the Balkans to domestic violence in Arizona. Marissa has focused her career on the intersection of strategic communications and impact, supporting nonprofit organizations both in house and through agencies. She has served clients including the UN, OSCE, DFID, and USAID, working across the United States, Europe, Central Asia, and East Africa. She is an Americorps alumna.
