Mackenzie is a senior associate at Third Derivative, where she supports the Industrial Innovation Cohorts initiative. Her work is focused on establishing three cohorts of startups aimed at decarbonizing the cement, steel, and chemicals industries and providing resources to help them advance and scale their technologies. Prior to Third Derivative, Mackenzie supported RMI’s Supply Chain Initiative, which aims to decarbonize industrial supply chains by improving the transparency and traceability of greenhouse gas emissions. Her work included developing stakeholder relationships, publishing greenhouse gas reporting methodologies, and collaborating with corporations to improve product-level emissions data.

Background

Before joining RMI, Mackenzie held multiple roles at The TJX Companies, most recently as a buyer. Her work focused primarily on supply chain management and procurement, including business development, account management, vendor negotiation, and demand planning. In February 2022, she was selected as a founding fellow for the inaugural cohort of the Climatebase Fellowship.
