Fidel is a technical manager in the Islands Team within the Global South Program. Based in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Fidel supports the program’s integrated resource planning, project development, project management, and technical oversight activities across the Caribbean.
Background
Fidel is an electrical engineer and project manager with more than 25 years of experience. He has a varied professional background, having worked in the construction, telecommunications, and electric utility sectors in the Caribbean and the United States.
Prior to his engagement with RMI, he worked for 10 years in the engineering division of St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited, the public electric utility of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, where he managed various technical studies, pilots, and full implementation projects. Several of these projects concerned hydropower, wind energy, solar PV, LED street lighting, and energy efficiency.
