Ben is a manager on RMI’s Climate-Aligned Industries program working on the Cement and Concrete initiative. In his role, Ben leads projects with industry incumbents and innovators to advise on their full life-cycle decarbonization strategies. He helped create a book and claim framework for the sector, launch the Sustainable Concrete Buyers Alliance (SCoBA), and publish several reports including a net-zero roadmap for the cement industry. His work has spanned across the various decarbonization levers of the cement and concrete value chain, including carbon capture, utilization, and storage; supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs); alternative heat sources; and demand reductions.
Background
Before joining RMI, worked at as the chief revenue officer at The American Energy Society and as a portfolio consultant at BlackRock. Outside of work, Ben can be found exploring the coast looking for surf.
