Six Ways to Reduce the Need for Newly Mined Battery Minerals

January 23–23, 2025 7:00-9:00 p.m. MT
In-person In-person

Join the Colorado Renewable Energy Society (CRES) in Jefferson County, Thursday, January 23, for an event featuring two authors of RMI’s report The Battery Mineral Loop, Will Atkinson and Sudeshna Mohanty. From grids to EVs, batteries are essential to the energy transition — but mining their minerals doesn’t have to be. In this event, authors of a recent RMI report will outline six solutions to address the rising mineral demand across efficiency, innovation, and circularity. We will also cover how RMI is helping to implement these solutions through our Battery Circular Economy Initiative.

This event by CRES is in-person in Golden, Colorado, with a hosted reception and discussion after the formal presentation, and also available to view via live streaming.
